Coming up

1 to use today

Four steps.
Nothing wasted.

No typing in long lists. Grox reads what it can, remembers what it learns, and only asks you for the date.

01

Scan it

Point the camera at the barcode. Grox looks the product up and fills in the name. Or snap the label and it reads the date for you.

02

Set the date

Type the date or tap 3 days, 1 week, 1 month. Grox remembers where each food lives and how long it lasts, so next time it's filled in.

Eat first

Home shows what to use today and what's next. A morning summary and a home screen widget keep it in front of you.

Every "used it" and "tossed" counts. Stats show what you threw away each month, and what you toss most.

Everywhere you
look, first things.

Grox shows up where you already are: the home screen, the morning notification, the shade you pull down. You don't have to remember to open it.

A widget that knows what's next

"Coming up" sits on your home screen with today's items on top. Tap the scan button to add groceries straight from the widget.

Good
questions.

Is Grox free?
Yes. Tracking, scanning, reminders, the widget and stats are free. Only sharing a pantry with other people (Grox Household) is a premium feature.
Do I need an account?
No. Your pantry is stored on your phone. You only sign in with Google if you want to share it as a household.
What if a product has no barcode?
Type the name, or take a photo of the label. Grox suggests a place and a typical shelf life for common foods, so fruit and vegetables take a couple of taps.
Will it nag me?
No. There's one daily summary at a time you choose, and only on days something is due. When just one thing is due, you can mark it used or tossed right from the notification.
Is it on iPhone?
Not yet. Grox is Android first and is in a private beta now, with Google Play next.
What happens to my data?
It stays on your phone unless you share a household. Read the privacy policy for the details.

Less in the bin. More on the plate.

Grox is in a private Android beta. Know someone who's testing it? Ask them for an invite. Everyone else: it's coming to Google Play.
